Packages
Mail Services is a United States Postal Service Contract Station. We only receive USPS packages. For non-USPS packages, please contact Central Receiving and Stores at 704-687-2394 with questions about your package.
Sending a Package?
Make sure package is properly wrapped and addressed. The Mail Services Center has a limited supply of mailing materials for purchase.
Mail Services gladly offers packaging advice. Just bring up your contents we’ll help ensure everything is delivered safely and in one piece!
70 lb Maximum: It is our policy not to send any packages greater than 70 lbs.
Receiving a Package?
An email will be sent to you when the package has arrived. It must be picked up within 10 business days. Present Mail Center window clerk with proper ID (State issued driver's license, 49er Card, Passport) to pick up package.
For the best possible service you should:
- Use full & formal names (first and last, no nicknames)
- Provide a delivery and return address
- Capitalize everything in the address
- Use two (2) letter state abbreviations, and common abbreviations
- Eliminate all punctuation
- Use Zip + 4 Codes (e.g. 28223-0001)
