Celebrate love and unity during Bechtler By Night with special hands-on art activities, that are designed to break down barriers and encourage positive relationships through art.  Inspired by Black History month, guests are invited to create their own Freedom Quilt Designs while learning about the use and symbolism of these quilts during the Underground Railroad era. Then, head into our classroom to explore and experiment with a combination of materials such as tissue, construction, and stonehenge paper to create collages inspired by French artist Pierre Soulages. Enjoy gallery games, a scavenger hunt, and try your luck with Bechtler BINGO, complete with raffle prize! While you’re exploring the entire museum for FREE, you don’t want to miss checking out our newest exhibit, TEN. Bechtler By Night is free of charge and invites you to gather friends and view the extensive Bechtler collection under the cover of the night sky.Complimentary light bites and cash bar.​

Monthy poetry slamhosted by SlamCharlotte which strives to promote poetic growth, performance enhancement, and increased camaraderie among the poets and the community through the monthly slam competitions. $10 general admission.

A performance art exhibition that brings science fiction and social awareness together as one, taking it off the wall and onto the stage, in a live performance by Quentin Talley & The Soul Providers. Think Q’s signature spoken word style layered over a live band seaming together jazz, funk, and soul effortlessly. Quentin Talley & The Soul Providers (Courtney Gibson, bass | Curtis Hayes, keys | Stefan Kallander, guitar |  Jesse Williams, drums) influenced by Kiser & Woodberry’s dynamic artwork, create a unforgettable evening of performance art. Tosco Music Parties showcase an eclectic mix of music styles and engage the audience with singalongs throughout the evening. Three times each year  Tosco Music Parties feature performances of one or two songs by a variety of approximately 15 scheduled acts (professional and amateur). Tickets start at $15.50; Student Rush discount tickets go on sale 2 hours before the show (5:30 p.m.) starting at $13.95.
