Light Rail to campus and new bus routes - how will CATS service impact or benefit you?
Make sure you know how to get to where you need to go! Make plans to come by the Transit Fair:
Tuesday, Feb. 27, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. • Popp Martin Student Union, Rm 200.
Drop in any time between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and meet with CATS representatives who will share information and answer your questions. UNC Charlotte will have staff available to answer questions about how Niner Transit, Paratransit and Charlotte Wheels will interface with light rail service, and about the arrival of light rail to campus.
CATS staff are also prepared to discuss the Envision My Ride initiative that will redesign the current bus system. Learn about current recommendations for the future redesign of the bus system and offer your input to help guide future development.
Changes to CATS bus routes
Beginning March 16, 2018, the 9.3-mile LYNX alignment will extend from 7th Street Station in Center City through the North Davidson and University areas, terminating on the UNC Charlotte campus. In order to better connect to the LYNX Blue Line Extension, CATS has adopted service changes to over 20 bus routes. Affected routes include: 3, 4, 11, 13, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 39, 50, 54, 59, 97, 98, 99, 201, 204, 211, and 232. In addition, over 700 bus stops will be altered or discontinued. Here's a detailed map that shows the upcoming changes.
