While students were away for Spring Break, lots of earth-moving, grading and building prep happened on campus. Here's a list of potential traffic interruptions to expect over the next few weeks:
Residence Hall Phase XI
Site grading and earthwork underway. You can't drive to Lot 9A or Hunt Village by way of High Rise Road anymore. Access now by a temporary paved connector road off Cameron Blvd. (not to be confused with a nearby gravel construction entrance). Roadway signage has been posted.
Residence Hall Phase X
Expect heavy truck traffic on Cameron Blvd. as the contractor grades the site and removes unsuitable soils.
Regional Utility Plant 4
A few parking spaces will be roped-off in Lot 8 (between Scott and Holshouser Halls) as the contractor begins making storm water modifications on South side of the lot. Next they'll build a construction entrance from University City Blvd. to Lot 8, but no big disruptions are expected until after the semester ends.
Football Complex and CRI Campus
Gas line installation will begin March 14 near Motorsports and Bioinformatics. Minor traffic impacts due to contractor mobilization may be encountered.
Hechenbleikner Lake Dam Project
Major construction will begin mid‐April to be completed by early August. Be cautious of construction traffic on Broadrick Boulevard; vehicular and pedestrian traffic should be affected minimally.
