The Chartwells culinary team pays homage to famous African-American chefs with culinary recreations of their favorite recipes.
- Thursday, Feb. 1, Lunch – Chef Faatimah’s interpretation of Bravo TV’s Top Chef Ron Duprat: French Caribbean Shrimp over Rice with Mango and Papaya Salsa
- Thursday, Feb. 8, Lunch – Chef Melvin ‘s take on Marcus Sameuelsson of Harlem’s famous Red Rooster and Food Network: Double Dragon Rice with Grilled Shrimp
- Thursday, Feb. 15, Lunch – Diane Moore presents Bryant Terry, Afro-vegan eco-chef: Tofu Curry with Mustard Greens, Blackeyed Pea Fritters with Hot Pepper Sauce
- Thursday, February 22, Dinner – Edna Lewis presented by James Boulware: Sautéed Chicken with Hominy Casserole, Simmered Greens, Corn Meal Dumplings, Baked Tomatoes, Hoppin’ John and Blackberry Bobbler
